            G irls’ High School Mt. Lavinia was started in 1924 with a few students and a few teachers as an English girls’ school. By 2012 after 88 years the school has grown to be a prominent girls’ school in the country with over 2700 students and a staff of over 100, with classes from primary school up to A/L with many extracurricular activities.                                                        It is located in Mount Lavinia.  The present principal is Madam N.R.P Kumari.  Also from 1924 to today my school has grown day by day under various principals.   Beautiful Nuwara Eliya, nicknamed           Little England .         N uwara E liya is a beautiful city located in a valley in the central hills of Sri Lanka.  Located at an elevation of 1868 m (6128 ft) above sea level, this city belongs to the Nuwara Eliya District.  Mount Pidurutalagala , the highest mountain in Sri Lanka is also located near this city.                       Another specialty of Nuwara Eliya is the European fruits , fruits and flowers found there.  The people of this city grow these as their main source of income, as an additional source of income or as a hobby.  Across this ' little England ', there are places where vegetables like potatoes, carrots, leeks, flowers like roses, daisies, astameria and delicious strawberries are grown.    Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful place that has won the hearts of both local and foreign tourists...

  After a long vacation I came to my girl. As soon as I heard that voice I got up from the chair where I was sitting and went to her. Grandma, why did you leave me?  I'm lonely. Went on a long vacation, daughter. It's beautiful there. I met a lot of friends. I t's okay, Grandma, you do not go.  Stay with us. Then I woke up.  I had a dream.  Grandma fell victim to it last corona season.  But now she is in a beautiful place with a lot of friends.  That's what she told me. I also have a lot of nice friends.  I have many friends who have shared their grief with me who have not left me alone in grief. Even before we are born, we follow our mother's heartbeat.  From the moment we are born, our mother's lullaby songs heal us. That's why we pay attention to melodious music today as we did then .   There are a lot of meaningless songs too, but we all fall in love with some kind of music.
